The witness, at trial

The sale charges trace to a woman Moscow police stopped with drug bundles on June 5, 2023, and to a statement Travis gave two days later without a lawyer, which he later retracted. His name first enters the file in a report written on June 5 by the operative who took her statement.

At trial she said Travis "did not blackmail her in any way," that "it was the operatives who told her to initially report more," and that he could not have had that quantity of drugs at home.

The prosecution produced no messages, no data from any phone or computer of his, no bank statement, and no surveillance.
