Nothing examined for fingerprints or DNA

Police said they found a taped bundle of mephedrone in Travis's apartment. The state's own expert describes it in almost the same terms as the four bundles from the courier's drop site: tape around a grey magnet, 1.28 grams each.

The courier said she had placed five bundles in that entrance. Four were recovered. Then a bundle matching her batch turned up in the home of a man who, by her account, had not left the house.

As defense counsel told the court, the investigators "did not examine the physical evidence seized in the apartment, did not try to compare, for example, a bookmark from the apartment with others."
